I use a combination of tools. GSC with a combination of aHrefs and also GA.

GSC will give you the most accurate data in regards to your keyword and page rankings. aHrefs helps understand a bit more about the page and other potential keywords, so I use it as more of a tool for future updates to an existing article and competition. And then with GA, I can see how users are interacting with my content that are driven from organic results.

SEMRush, but with the caveat of my having legacy pricing and my managing several projects. It’s way too expensive for just tracking keyword positions.

I used to use serpbook until they got bought out ( I’m assuming ) and the pricing model changed. I don’t remember the pricing exactly, but i feel like it was in the $12/mo. For 100 keywords range.

Mangools. Super easy to use and affordable compared to other options.

Are you tracking keywords on a National or local level? Ahrefs is fine for keeping an eye on National trajectory, but isn’t ideal for local keywords. For local rank I use Pro Rank Tracker. It’s pretty accurate but I’m sure there are others with comparable accuracy now as well. It’s been a few years since I tested other local rank tracking tools tbh since it works fine and clients can log into to see rank reports…I’ve just stuck with it. Gets pricey tho.

I use SERanking, which provides me with an option to add local search engines i.e individual cities as well, which helps me in tracking my keywords and SERP features better. I used Mangools too, it also offers the same functionalities so you can take up trials of both softwares

    I use 2 tools : Ahrefs & KWFinder.
They’re easy to use By using Ahrefs you can see who’s linking to any website or web page.

I used node.js(puppeteer) to create a script to crawl SERP and monitor ranking.
