  YouTube subtitles question – why can I download the auto generated titles on some videos and not others?

  Hello, I’m a relative noob to doing YT but we’ve been uploading some YT videos at work. I want to get the transcriptions correct. As I understand it, a lot of people download the auto generated transcriptions, correct them, and then reupload the corrected ones, am I right?

  On some of the video’s I’m able to download these and others it doesn’t give me the option. The language is set correctly but the button to download just never pops up on certain videos. Why is this? And how do I fix it? I don’t want to spend hours transcribing videos with time stamps by hand and currently we don’t have money in the budget to pay for transcriptions.
