I am creating a YouTube shorts channel and aim to monetize my content. I have a few questions regarding this.

    1. Am I allowed to use any of the recommended music and still monetize my content? Like I’m wondering how I can be sure which music isn’t copyright so I can monetize my shorts.

    2. Am I allowed to repost my YouTube shorts onto my TikTok and instagram page? If I am allowed, then how can ensure that I don’t get a copyright strike for reposting my own videos?

If anyone can provide answers to these questions I’d greatly appreciate it!

First of all, it’s not that easy. If you are just thinking to monetize it right from the start. Stop there!

I know you maybe have watched some videos which they will tell you how we grew our account n monetised it n making 4-5 figures from it

And most of them are doing are just digital marketers which means they gonna bring some courses later

So, again, back to your question. You can the music, however, not some random one. Like you can do random as well, however, you can get a copyright strike

But it’s not the dangerous one, it’s just the monetising one. To start, you need 1K subscribers n 10 Million views (for the shorts channel)

And the second question isn’t even a question. Yes, you can reshare those videos on Instagram or Tiktok. However, make sure they don’t have any watermarks of any other social media platform or editing app

    Good luck with your journey!

Well you can not use music you have not licensed unless you are acting as a private person not a brand. It’s simple as that.

You may see brands still use licensed music which they either licensed or are willing to take a lawsuit.

Always remember to stick within the ‘fair use’ policy is the one thing you consider here. The best way to not copyright on the music is get permission to use popular music from a licensing service provider like Lickd. Another one is make and use your own music.
