GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 3:02 amWordPress isn’t always the most user friendly if the person you’re recommending it to knows absolutely nothing about web design or building a website.
But other than that, absolutely yes. WordPress is an amazing platform to build a website on that offers a lot of customizability, and is solid for SEO aswell.

GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 8:32 amCheap to run, loads of free plugins, can scale easily of you need it too, loads of devs on the market which keeps costs lower if needed, and it’s one of the few you can really push to super fast speeds.

GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 2:19 pmYes, I build websites for businesses with WordPress. It’s the best CMS used by 43% websites on the internet

GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 4:11 pmIt really depends on how tech savvy your family/friend is.
If the person is tech savvy – you can think of WordPress.
But if they never had a website before and do not want the hassle of hosting, maintenance, tech stuff – go for wix. I assume they dont need any custom feature or functionality

GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 5:26 pmThere seems to be lots of people saying yes here, but the people I know who have tried to use it who don’t know anything about web development have quickly run into all kinds of issues and then asked me to sort them out. I don’t recommend it personally. It’s actually not that easy to use for complete novices.

GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 6:07 pmI would recommend wordpress if they are willing to put in the work to learn it. I started building my first wordpress website about a year ago for my pest control company and after literal days.. possibly weeks watching YouTube I think I have learned most of what I need to know and my site is ranking for about 500 keywords with 700 visitors a month. It will take at minimum 6 months to master WordPress and that’s if you’re somewhat tech savvy and REALLY want to learn. After that they will have to tackle seo

GuestMarch 19, 2023 at 12:01 amIf they don’t mind rolling up their sleeves and learning how to use it, WordPress is the way to go. It’s free, highly customizable, and has a ton of plugins and themes, and a massive community around it. It’s the best option for SEO as well. However, it does have a bit of a learning curve and might not be the best choice for those who want a website without a lot of bells and whistles. If they’re not too tech-savvy or just want a simple site, there are other website builders like Wix or Squarespace that might be a better fit. Ultimately, it comes down to what they’re looking for and what they feel comfortable with.
