Will using same call to action in title tag cause “keyword cannibalization?”

For example if my title tag is:

Polka Dot Polo Shirt | 20% Off First Order

Would using the “20% off first order” call to action in multiple product title tags hurt me?

Short answer: no it will not.

No ones searching for whats %20 off today. They are searching for the shirt and the %20 like you said is just a CTA to entice them to click through.

If you’re trying to rank a specific page for “20% off first order”, then yes.

Keyword cannibalization is not a real ranking problem. It’s a conversion rate optimization problem.

Who the fuck knows and it will probably change next month anyway. Focus on quality content and let SEO “rules” rot in hell.

    No.

You need to change the title for Call to Action.
