Will I benefit from owning various domain names related to the field of business my main domain pertains to?
To clarify i mean completely different names not .net/.gov versions of the main domain. For example if my business was called [carmarket.com](https://carmarket.com) would owning carbazaar.com, carmall.com, vehicleinfo.com etc help in any meaningful way for SEO or other purposes? Would appreciate some insight thanks in advance

No. Simply owning domains does nothing for SEO. Pointing them all to one domain does nothing, either. A domain needs actual authority in order to have any SEO value.

By this, you are just going to increase your burden of SEO because till now you are thinking about single domain promotion and after multiple domain have to give time to all for targeted keywords. Not good way according to me.
