Go to any public space like a shopping center or a mall and sit down for 30 minutes. See how many people are scrolling on their phone and for how long. That will answer your question.

It’s started out with communicating, with your family that’s far away.
And with strangers (didn’t last long with the weirdos.)Then it was celebrities
Then it was anything, fun.
Then it became influencers, marketing and what not. Even to get hired for a job.Making groups.
It’s all good.I don’t really like it anymore.
I am not a teen anymore. The fun is stupid and a wate of time.
Celebrities are stupid
Influencers ruined it.
Marketing took over.
I don’t have friends to chat with it.I’m forced to do a Facebook every time I want a new job cause they refuse to send my email! It’s ridiculous but they made social media more important than it should be and less fun.
Long distance family, we chat too. It’s great. Altough I cant stand messenger and Facebook. I don’t have it personally but my family do
I deleted Facebook when I was a teen, it was never good, besides keeping in touch
Twitter isn’t for me
Snapchat was more when I was a teen
Tumblr was toxic and porn
We heart it never caught on and started to decline unfortunatelyI never made a tiktok
Youtube I do, it was always great for fun music and education. It has changed alot, their is alot of bullshit buy you can skip them. So it’s still great.
Reddit is great if you don’t dive into the negative stuff too much. You can see what people think and I really like it.
Instagram yet another meta app I dont like. Yet I still have it. I really liked it but I a year it changed, over crowed and low quality. I soon will be deleting it.
Pinterest is fine for crafts.

Social media is important for businesses because it’s the latest version of marketing to people where they are. When everyone read newspapers, it made since to be there. When everyone watched cable, you needed to be there. Now, everyone is on social media so that’s where you need to connect to your audience.
I know it can be a pain, but it also offers two way instant communication with your customers that wasn’t possible before with other forms of media.

Social media is important to a certain extent. Like….. it’s good if it was used to actually make connections and show what you’re doing. I think through the years people have been trying to reach this aesthetic to be cool and have lots of followers… which makes people weird IRL. Idk…. I recently deactivated my insta and twitter hoping that I’ll have more healthy time in my head instead. I kind of hate the idea of watching people for hours on these apps when they aren’t even being honest about themselves and lives. Like I know it is true, but it’s always the good parts that are shown. Sometimes… that makes us feel lost >_<

Humans have always been seeking community. It’s ingrained deep into us. Social media is just another evolution of that. It’s not necessarily “important “ but it makes a lot of people feel connected

Social media is important because it allows people to connect with each other and share information quickly and easily. It also provides businesses with a platform to reach potential customers and build relationships with them.
Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms nowadays, and it is especially important for businesses because it allows them to showcase their products and services in a visually appealing way.
Also, Instagram has a large user base, so businesses can reach a wide audience with their content. What I like about Instagram is the growth services like Ascend Viral agency. They get real and targeted followers. I think that really help new business accounts or even big accounts.
Anyways, people are scrolling on their phones all day so if you are a business creator you can take it as a positive point.

if you think from a business perspective then my answer will be yes cause all we know is that if we want to grow our business we need an online presence too and in today’s time there are almost 4.26 billion people use social media so if we want to reach them we have to use social media.
Or if you want to know for personal use then my answer will be yes and no both cause as you know by using social media we can know a lot of things we explore new things that is a very good side and the bad side is there has a lot of people use social media for fun by doing tricky things spend their valuable time by using social media.
