  • Why is my website getting hits?

Posted by Acrobatic-Crab2902 on July 27, 2023 at 6:23 pm

So I did one post two months ago and nothing since. However, I’m getting hundreds of human clicks to my website homepage per month, but my website hosting does not show the traffic source.

Is this people searching my domain in the search bar? Or is it bot traffic that my hosting site is confusing for human traffic?

Are you connected to Google Search Console?
I had an unusual amount of traffic recently, which I believe to be a bot

Could be anything… probably bots. But you haven’t shared anything about your website to be able to look into it…

It could be anything. Get Google search console and Google analytics set up and see what is driving traffic.Sign up to ahrefs and moz. Start looking at keyword performance, backlink profile and see if it’s SEO or a fluke. A single post doesn’t usually make a huge amount of difference.

    Really.

    Direct traffic

    Search engine traffic

    Referral traffic

    Bot traffic

There might be something to it.
