I can relate to your frustration. Instagram is becoming increasingly saturated, making it difficult for content to stand out. You need a strong follower base who not only appreciates your content but also engages with it. I faced similar challenges until I enlisted the help of AscendViral to grow my follower count. They use the follow/unfollow strategy, ensuring that you gain real, interested followers. Now, my focus is on maintaining these followers’ engagement with regular reels, story polls, and interactive challenges.

I’ve noticed the same. I post my usual content and usually get 6-8k likes and now sometimes I can’t even get 3K, it’s so frustrating

Algorithm. Changed from newest uploads at the top of the feed to things people like even if 3 weeks old. They keep going back and forth

It is due to changing Algorithm of Instagram.

Someone told me a decade back “never build a castle on rented property” when I was starting online.

Couldn’t agree more. Relying solely on any channel to attract, engage & convert can be very risky for any brand.

Getting reach & engagement on any platform, gets difficult with time. Every new tips & tricks stop working, with more people trying those.

More people start posting content on any platform, more algorithm & ranking will be required to ensure the platform users get to see the posts they are more likely to engage.

User experience is first priority, over brands or creators.

Only when the users enjoy their time in the platform, they’d like to stay on the platform more. Only then the platform can grow in the long term & provide a target audience to creators/brands to reach organically or through paid ads.

Did you see the latest ‘Instagram Ranking Explained’ Reel & Article from Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram?

It might give you useful insights.

Here are the takeaways I shared with my clients:

    * Get clarity about your Target Audience

What types & styles of content & accounts they are more likely to be interested in following & engaging with?

Clearly, Target Audience for a Cosmetics D2C brand engages with different types of content than the Target Audience of a B2B brand.

    * Quality, Authentic & Engaging Content

Create contents that resonate with your Target Audience.

    * Reaching Followers vs Non-followers

While Feed & Story posts can help you reach mostly your followers (WARM Audience), Reels has a higher chance to reach your non-followers (COLD Audience).

So is appearing in Explore. Get clarity on where you should focus.

Also note the following types of Reels get less visibility:

    low-resolution or watermarked reels,
reels that are muted or contain borders,
    reels that are majority text,
reels that focus on political issues, or
reels that have already been posted on Instagram.

I will also recommend checking Settings > Account Status to make sure your profile isn’t flagged.
