Ouch.
You’ll want to use Manual CPC or a Smart Bidding Strategy where you can set a Max CPC cap so you don’t blow your budget on a single click like in this case. Just take it as a painful lesson, though luckily you spotted it in one day!

Bro had the same issue they milked my ad budget of shopping ads lmao £5cpc for a product worth £7, honestly wasn’t expecting that… They milked me when I wasn’t looking.

This might be unpopular, but I use maximise impressions for a month to get cheaper click and to train conversion action. After one month I change to automated CPA.
it worked great, I got cheap click and cheap conversion. but my problem is with measurements. I dont know how I can count converted people as conversion as they are converted after long series of chat in whatsapp.

No max cpc? Rookie mistake, I would recommend setting the max to 1 euro and see what the conversion rate is
