Why did the homepage of my blog suddenly spike in traffic (become the second most visited)
This has never happened before. For the longest time the top visited blog pages for my site have always been posts. But in the last few days my homepage’s traffic suddenly spiked and became ranking #2 out of now where. I can’t find any answers on Google so I’m wondering if someone can let me know what this means? And how it happened? I’m curious/confused.

Difficult to say exactly without more info. I’d assume that you’ve picked up additional rankings for more generic keywords where Google has found the homepage to be the most relevant page, or keywords delivering traffic to specific blog posts might now be sending traffic to the home page. Check Google Search Console and see if anything has changed.

I can’t guess what happened exactly! But sometimes people get discover traffic!
Can you share the source of traffic? You can check in your GA!
