Why can’t I add a “Send Message” CTA button to my Facebook ad using post ?
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to create a Facebook ad using an existing album post that contains four photos. I’ve selected the conversion objective and chosen the location and messaging apps for my ad. However, I’m having trouble adding a “Send Message” CTA button.
in the ad level I can’t add cta I get no button I can’t click ,and I can’t publish the add cause of this error “You can only use response optimization with ads that drive traffic to Messenger: You can only use response optimization with ads that drive traffic to Messenger. Use the Click to Messenger or Send Message calls to action to use response optimization.” I ‘m new to facebook ads hope someone can help me or can guide me where I can get the informations I need, thanks!

I haven’t used Facebook ads myself in some time but from my understanding they are pretty good at detecting what’s in your ad. It might be because you’re using an existing album for this kind of ad. So they are saying you can’t publish the ad because it’s not the right kind of content for your objective. Why don’t you try uploading the content (photo, video) directly to the ad format you want to use?
