What’s the best influencer outreach script you’ve used?
Hi all!
I’m looking to optimize our influencer program, starting with the script we are using to make first contact with potential influencers. I’ve read plenty of guides etc. on influencer outreach to guide our efforts, but I feel like our outreach-to-onboarding conversion rate could be much higher.
Ideally, I’m looking for somebody that I can show our scripts to and fix them with. I’d be happy to send you a bunch of our products for your time!
The caveat is that we’re in Canada, and can only legally ship in Canada. Thanks in advance! 🙂

Don’t overthink it. The worst outreach emails are the ones where you:
– don’t come across as a real human being but try too hard to be quirky and “on brand”
– give off the impression that you don’t take the influencer seriously, and it’s clearly a mass message with little attention paid to them
– try to dictate too many conditions all at once and give the influencer the impression that they have to fit into a certain scheme
Just write hi, explain who you are, and in rough terms what type of collab you have in mind and that you were wondering if they were interested in talking more. It’s as simple as that.

keep it short. make sure you’re prepared with your ask. It’s sales 101.
**If on Instagram or elsewhere:**
*We’re looking to partners with influencers to (do something_insert here). We came across your profile and would love to know if you’d be interested in partnering together. What’s a good email to reach you at so we can share more information?*
**If on email:**
Hi (name)!
We found you via (insert source) and would love to know if you might be interested in forming a partnership together. Here’s how we’re working with influencers to-date: (insert offer or proposed offer). Is that something that interests you? \
**Alternative questions:**
1. Do you have a media kit we can reference? (established influencers will… it’s almost a must)
2. We’re interested in partnering with you… how have you worked with brands similar to ours in the past? (remember – it’s a negotiation… they want something… you want something… )
