What tools are you using for omni-channel tracking?

Posted by bcat04 on August 22, 2023 at 11:16 am

Hi – looking to hear what people use for managing omni-channel tracking. My experience comes from solely using GA4, and am inexperienced with Customer Data Platforms.

Hypothetically, If you had $1 million in ad spend per month, would you be fine with using GA4 with server side tracking data (through GTM for example), or would you be using a CDP like Hyros, Triple Whale, Northbeam etc… are CDPs strongly recommended if you have the budget to implement them? This is for attributing conversions for both online and traditional/offline marketing.

If so, what CDP are you using?

what is your goal for a cdp?

coz what you’re describing isnt really the use case for a cdp implementation.

if you’re looking for omni channel tracking, you want an adserver.

u/dnchw2 mentioned it rightly. It’s not a CDP use case.

You’d want to tag your URLs properly, across all channels to get better visibility in your Omni-channel performance assessment. Adservers is also an option.

GA4 is really the only one you need. It can be very advanced if you know how to use it properly. I’m not about to pay for all these other little services they add up
