What to do with ‘ideal audience’ information

Posted by ChocolateNo997 on February 7, 2023 at 5:37 pm

Had a few newer clients now, all
B2B, give me quite detailed info on who they want to target. For me the search term defines the quality / demographic more than anything.

Of course there are things we can do, things to work into the ad copy etc. Are there any tricks you guys are using to make sure we ‘target’ the right people?

Client gave an example as their perfect lead is an executive of a large company, example sugar manufacturer, who imports huge quantities of goods to the UK.

Managing expectations is a big part of the job. As you said, tailoring ad copy is the key. If you’re using smart bidding then there’s not much other audience targeting you can do as Google’s targeting data on the back end makes use of conversion convexity and their own audience signalling for the match. If you’re using Microsoft Ads then the Linked In audiences can help there.
