What is up with TikTok views ?
Professional social media manager here : I’ve been posting content for a client for months and getting really good reach and views on TikTok. We have a tried and true recipe for our videos that keeps working really well for us. But since last week, the views have gone down drastically. We used to get an average 80k, now we’re at 2k. Nothing has changed : same style, same lenght, same themes. And yet. My client has over 120k followers.
Anyone else has similar issues ? -

Your audience got bored? You need to switch it up. Tiktok rewards you for bring fresh. If your viewers are seeing the SAME thing over and over again they’re just going to go to the next video causing the algorithm to favor you less.

Depending on if it’s really short video length, I read somewhere they’re pushing for longer content now.
But I’m sure there’s 27 other factors also at play here.

The algorithm tends to change out of nowhere. One day your views will be up and you’ll hit the fyp, the next day you’re suppressed and barely getting views. Some people think it has something to do with the promote coupons events, which TikTok happens to be running right now
I have 100k+ followers and will go from having one good video to not hitting 10k views for weeks.
It sucks but continuing to post consistently, staying true to your brand, and mixing in both long form original content and short trends has worked for me in the long run. But there will always be fluctuations

TikTok is aiming to switch up to long content videos, meaning try making videos 30 seconds to 1 minute long and you may see new results

Hello! It’s sad that the Government and Congress are in debate about banning the use of TikTok in the US; therefore, I would highly recommend leaving the worrying about TikTok in the background for now. Although the audience is very important, I wouldn’t rely on the platform to be a long term cash pot. Good luck!
