There’s a guy on Twitter called [Soren Iverson](https://twitter.com/soren_iverson) who makes some very fun (and very fictional) technology concepts and dropped this one today.

I know it’s comedy but just a technical point, it’s like as a % of followers like he stated, not engagement rate.
Engagement rate is likes, comments, shares and saved on the numbers of impressions.

Then I’d probably stop posting all together or hope they still had the hide feature.
Instagram is essentially dead for me. In 90 days I’ve lost 13 followers overall. Barely anyone sees my posts anymore (with 4k followers). And of those that do see it basically nobody likes posts anymore. I’m lucky to get 20 these days.
I know a lot of IG is just like that in general these days, but it is depressing when you put so much time, money and effort into creating stuff you’re proud of, and thanks to the algorithm it’s just a flop.
IG was good till 2020, then they just destroyed it.

I do this calculation tho. You just divide your likes with the total followers and multiply by 100.
