What if I can’t write posts regularly?
I’ve been writing posts for my website for 6 months now. In the beginning I’ve been posting four times per month, but since I’m a student, I cannot write much during my exam weeks so a whole month went by without any new posts. My question is whether Google cares at what pace I’m writing content for my website and if this affects the ranking of my posts?

To some extent it does, because when you will be posting regularly. more and more keywords will be added and ranked. This will get more traffic to your site.

If you are short on time, how about going back in and updating and improving some the existing posts? This will probably be quicker than writing something new from scratch.
Google loves updated content. Make sure your site is added to Google Search Console and use the query data in there for each page so you can see potential new sections and questions to answer in your articles.
