    1/ YouTube’s ad revenue grew 4% year over year, bringing in about $7.6 billion. For Youtube, This Growth came after revenue falling in last 3 Quarters.

    2/ Rumours of Meta Pixel going away this year have been circulating pretty hard. Many Advertisers on TikTok have been talking about this.

    3/ TikTok launches “Text” Post Options after seeing the huge issues happening with Threads App & X (Twitter).

    4/ Snapchat’s forecast on projected Ad Revenue misses again. Twice in a row, Q1 Snap missed their Ad revenue goals. While the growth in terms of users remains high.

    5/ Threads App is launching a set of new features: Chronological feed, notification filters, follow button & request features.

    6/ Meta’s Ad Revenue grew 12% in Q2, massive growth.

    Facebooks daily active user count is up by 5%. All of the meta platforms combined. (FB + WA + IG) saw a 7% YoY in daily active users reaching 3.07 billion.

    7/ Microsoft Search & Advertising Revenue Up by 3% but the company expected more growth.

    8/ Reddit is testing verification badges for users. The style is different.

    9/ X (Twitter) is offering Ad packages to marketers as the Ad revenue is down.

    10/ LinkedIn’s revenue grew 5% & User engagement grew by 12%. In Q1, LinkedIn broke the engagement records. Very similar results this quarter.

    11/ Mailchimp, Parent company Intuit launches media network for small businesses.

    12/ ChatGPT’s AI text classifier is no longer available due to poor performance.

    13/ Marketing consultancy Gravity Global acquires 9thWonder.

    14/ Bing Ads revenue was up 8% compared to Google Ads 3.3%.

    15/ Twitter rebrands comes to Android.

    **Jaskaran’s Youtube CTV Breakdown:**

    Youtube’s massive growth is coming due to their Connected TV Ad growth has been great. The CTV spend increased 31%. And they have encouraged the creators again and again to create content supported for TV formats.

    In May, Youtube revealed that: Youtube Select, The Top 5% content on the platform is landing 70% of impressions on TV. After that, They launched two new Ad formats leading to major push for Advertisers.

    Pausable Ads, the reason for launch was since Coinbase’s QR code Ad. Many advertisers have been experiencing with it.

    Unskippable 30secs Ads format also launched in May for US advertisers.

    And there might have been some other reasons for this huge success for Youtube this Quarter. As they rolled out pretty much 1-2 feature every week.
