  • What do I call a non-affiliate ad placement?

    Howdy!

Today I got paid to do a straight-up ad, for a real Hollywood movie, on my stream. Previous sponsor deals had all been affiliate garbage where I had to convince viewers to install/click/etc. This one, just straight-up shilling for cash.

    Big upgrade!

But…what do I call that when I’m pitching myself to other sponsors? “Direct ad placement?” Anybody have a good term they’re using?

    Merci

It’s pretty much influencer marketing ad placement, or influencer marketing branding campaign ads.

Congrats! Is this in a livestream? That would be sponsored stream. If a video, then sponsored UGC. Doesn’t matter if it was affiliate or not, same thing. If this was specific to a social campaign (promoting something for a set duration with a certain group of creators), then you are posting a sponsored video that’s part of an influencer campaign. It would be considered an ad if you promoted the video or gave the content to the company to post as an ad.
