What are your information sources for SEO?
Posted by PatrickSnuivert on June 21, 2023 at 6:52 amHow are you SEO specialists making sure you stay updated on the newest updates and developments?
I mostly get my information from work (digital agency), searchengineland, Twitter and LinkedIn, but I’m sure there are other gems around as well.

GuestJune 21, 2023 at 7:38 amI follow the Google Search Central Blog, where I regularly find the latest trends on Google Trends. It helps me stay updated on SEO strategies and pay attention to them. I used to stay updated with Search Engine Journal, SearchEngineLand, Moz, SEO Fomo, Yoast, etc.
Any new SEO update I trust those websites because it is written by digital marketing experts according to their experience.

GuestJune 21, 2023 at 9:43 amI would say try not to overwhelm yourself with too much news. When I got into the field, I went crazy and signed up to any SEO newsletter I could. Now I have a folder with a billion unread emails because I don’t have the time to go through them all.
Search Engine Land and Search Engine Journal are good. SE Roundtable does a good job at rounding up the social media chatter too.
I also listen to the Search Off the Record podcast from time to time too.

GuestJune 21, 2023 at 4:44 pmI have ~100 different site I follow using Feedly. Allows me to quick browse the headlines and take in enough to keep up there, then I click in and read those that stand out and interest me. Makes it easy to consume all that without going site to site to site.

GuestJune 21, 2023 at 9:12 pmFor me, the best way to learn SEO is following cases study, both succesful and failed ones. Then u must take action to test everything urself, not just read. U can find many of these case studies by G search or on SEO forum. Cheers
