  • What are the most important SEO factors building a blog?

Posted by seohelper on May 13, 2021 at 12:10 am

    Hey all,

I need to build a blog to add on to a website I’ve developed on [bubble.io](https://bubble.io). It doesn’t need to be anything fancy, but obviously SEO is a huge factor for it (the content will definitely be interesting enough too!).

What are the main things I need to factor in when developing a blog from an SEO perspective?

Additional points if you’ve got any pointers specific to Bubble.

The main thing you should actually focus on is your contents quality. Then how you place your keywords ( phrases people actually search for in search engines). Remember to place your keywords in places like header tags and title You can use the keyword generator in [ahrefs](http://www.ahrefs.com) to find keywords related to what you’re writing about.

Also seo optimization takes up to 3 months before you finally see results. Just be consistent in your posting and keyword placements and it’ll work out for you?

developing a blog from an **User** perspective?

    Choose niche
    Find what user searching
    Develop content around that
    Answer users query
    Answer subsequent users query
Build topics which are relevant to one another

Content strategy based on some sharp keyword research. A new website needs to have correct site architecture and some articles on same sub topic so that Google bot find some familiarity and ease as and when it crawls.

    On the technical sidfe:

    * Use H1’s and H2’s responsibly. The title and the subtitle of each section needs to make sense.
    * Quotes should have links to the source
    * Only use lists for things that make sense to *be in a list*.

Honestly if your content is relevant and interesting enough, and people can find it, that’s the name of the game.

That means clearly defining search intent and catering to it.

    Also…

Always share on SM to get a backlink.

My main strategy though for quick SEO results is to use FSQ and long tail keywords in your subheadings whenever possible.

Learn image SEO. Use it. Most don’t even if they know how because it’s tedious AF to do it well.

Don’t just publish the same stuff as everyone else. Don’t just look at their organic keywords and compete for those organic keywords, which may or may not be keywords that will be right for YOUR blog/brand/customer/timing of it all/etc.

Remember that ahrefs SEMrush and all them are trying to sell you intel gathering tools, they do not necessarily sell you solutions or tactics for search intent. ahrefs is great though ngl

First of all, you have a very cool product. Second of all, I agree with everyone’s feedback for you. Personally, I will focus on 3 things –

    1. Target audience
    2. Competitors research
    3. Content quality

You want to make sure you know who you are targeting in order to create an “environment” that allows them to explore and answer some of the questions they have.

Competitors research allow you to know who you are competing with and how you can create better user experience + improve the quality of your content. If they are already optimizing their site, it should give you some ideas on which keywords to target and expand it in order to increase visibility.

I haven’t used [bubble.io](https://bubble.io) yet. But I know from playing around with it, it’s a great platform. I’m not sure how well it will function as a CMS. You might want to go with a WordPress setup since its built for this and it has all the features (plugins) you’d need.

Make sure that the blog is not a subdomain so that the content SEO value is pasted to the root domain. Subdomains are viewed as separate websites from the root.

User interaction by people with relevant authority. If you design electric cars and Elon Musk spends hours on your site, it will rank better than if your friends do it.
