What are the best tools to help with your SEO journey?
I have an average understanding of how Search Engine Optimization works, and I am interested to find affordable tools that would help me practice with my own side business. What recommendations are out there?

You can use the Google Keyword Planner which is free as part of Google ads.

Google Search Console is your most powerful free tool. While you’re at it, get Bing’s version too, Bing Webmaster Tools. It’s also good.

Open Office so you have Excel but it’s free ha not kidding.

Unfortunately not cheap nor affordable for many but Ahrefs is the best. There are so many useful uses with it.

Get to grips with search console and ga4 before you use third party. Third party tools are great but you need to understand raw data before being overwhelmed with tools like ahrefs or semrush.
