Don’t stop learning. The landscape changes so frequently, its important to stay up to date with the latest trends, strategies, and nuisances for each platform.

In the interview, listen to the interviewer and ask what are the most important tasks required for the position.

What are the pain points that made them look to fill this particular role? Nobody hires just because.

Talk about how you think you can help them with those tasks and make their life easier.

Look for opportunities to get practical experience. I ran some social for a restaurant for free while I was job hunting. It was a restaurant I frequented and I knew the owner. They gladly accepted the free help and I got something to put on my resume.

It’ll show you are scrappy and are truly interested in digital.

Obviously you don’t want to work for free but I saw it as working for the resume building and it helped me land a job in ppc when I had 0 on job experience.

So resource wise I would deffinitely get on LinkedIn. It will really help you find these type of jobs for me personally I attribute LinkedIn to my advancement up the career ladder so many marketing job opportunities are on there. Secondly I think someone else said it but sometimes free work really will be your foot in the door. I had an admin job for a real estate team and offered to run their digital free of charge on the side and it’s what got me in the door and led to great opportunities down the line in digital marketing.
