Website not showing up in Google, but IS showing up in all other search engines.
I just noticed that Google is the only search engine that doesn’t show GilCoggins.com in 2nd or 3rd place. In all other search engines when I type in “Gil Coggins” GilCoggins.com is on the first page.
Does anyone know what that means?
GilCoggins.com shows up on the first page in DuckDuckGo, Bing, Dogpile.com, [Yahoo.com](https://Yahoo.com).
Any suggestions?

In September 2012, Google issued an update to stop using keywords in the domain name as a ranking factor because low-quality sites were using exact match domains, or domains with the keywords you’re trying to rank for in it, to rank. Bing, on the other hand, still uses keywords in the domain name as a ranking factor, and most other search engines get their search results from Bing, which explains why your site is ranking in Bing and most other search engines, but not Google.
What this means is that you’re going to have to build relevant backlinks to prove to Google that your site should rank for Gil Coggins. Eventually, you will rank unless Gil Coggins is extremely competitive, you just won’t rank instantly because your domain has Gil Coggins in it, unlike with Bing and other search engines.

Ah, thanks! I didn’t know that. I thought keywords were just less important, but not that google outright stopped using them.
Ok, I understand about backlinks.Do you know if it’ll affect google rankings if we keep the keywords?
