  Website being spammed with high bounce rate traffic. Is it harmful to my SEO?

  I was wondering why my GA stats were weird this week. With average view time like 15 seconds and exit rate on Home 50%+ . I’m being spammed by a site that sells traffic. by gestyy(dot com)

  Is it harmful to my SEO and is there anything I should do? I wonder if its a competitor who payed for it. The bots find me through Google search and spam by the hundreds.

  High bounce rate is a serious issue that needs to be addressed ASAP if it’s by genuine sources. Having said that, G is intelligent enough to understand about spammy hits and links. So, do further analysis and if you see a drop in rankings then block the bots at web server (.htaccess file for linux variants) level.
