Wanting to Start a Facebook Page for the Company I Work for but Can’t Seem to Explain we aren’t Fraudulent
I’m not sure if I this is the right subreddit and/or flair for this questions so my apologies if this is not the case.
Part of my job is to manage social media, however Facebook won’t seem to let me keep a page. When I started there was an outside company that managed three pages for our company, none of which were titled for us, and there were two pages that had our name attached and were dormant. Given that we are a small business in a niche market, I wanted to condense down to one page with our name on it to increase brand awareness. That’s when the trouble began.
I took the most recently edited dormant page and used that as a new social media page, and planned to merge it with the other pages associated with the company once things took off. After a few weeks, it was taken down citing recidivism. When I appealed it went back up but after a week or two it happened again. Since appealing worked last time I did it again but this time the page was deleted by Facebook. I made a new page and tried again but it too was taken down. This has happened 4-5 times now and I don’t seem to get any real help from concierge support.
During all this, I haven’t touched the three pages the outside company had for fear of losing them, and had to file an admin dispute for the other dormant page (which I won and promptly deleted since it was old and inaccurate). This day in age Facebook is essential for marketing and I’m nervous to use the three pages and don’t want to waste my time making a new page for it to get deleted again.
I’m just hoping for advice about what to do or who to contact to set the record straight and start from scratch knowing the page will last as long as I keep to standards, terms, guidelines etc. Anybody have any ideas or know of a way I can work with someone at Facebook so I can accomplish this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Kind of a shitty situation you’re in for sure – if it were me I’d reach out to the advertising reps through FB business manager – tell them I want to run ads on my biz page but there’s duplicate pages and it’s making it hard for me to buy ads and ask them to consolidate pages.

There’s a way to claim pages as your own and combine them as one in the Facebook settings. That way you don’t have to create entirely new pages and risk losing your audience.
