Using conversion data from one website to ‘feed’ another?

Posted by Scribble_Scratch on January 22, 2023 at 11:14 pm

I have two service companies (one which is new) targeting the same customer base.

I’ve created a campaign for this new company in the same Google Ads account as the existing one in order to avoid any issues with Google’s Unfair Advantage policy.

Since the client base and target keywords are the same between the two companies, would it be beneficial/make sense to use the existing conversion data to help get the new campaign off the ground?

If they’re targeting the same keywords in the same location in the same account, just different campaigns, it’s going to be hard to get your second one off the ground. They’ll always be competing with eachother and never show simultaneously.

If they have different locations and different websites, you technically wouldn’t be in violation AFAIK, and it would be much easier to keep your data clean.
