So I understand that Google likes unique content and this includes images. Are there any SEO hacks or technical processes for taking a photo that you’ve found on the internet and making it unique in the eyes of the algo?

For context I’m creating a cleaning business but haven’t done the cleaning yet. So no client photos. I want an image of a beautifully cleaned kitchen or something similar on my site. Thanks!

Only really relevant if you’re hoping to get eyes on those images in search, otherwise, it doesn’t matter. If it did, more than half of the mom and pop shop I manage would tank in search.

I think also people need to stop correlating doing things that Google likes equating higher raking. At the end of the day, they want you to make content that is relevant to searchers and higher rankings are a byproduct of that.

Use stock images, you’ll be fine.
As a business, focus on making sure your front page is robust and the business info is prominent and visible. Most importantly, make sure your GMB profile is fleshed out. That’s the one place I wouldn’t use stock images on though.

There is one very quick way to make a stock photo unique, takes about five seconds in Photoshop…
