Turn off tagging in the IG comment section
I’m pretty sure that Instagram had this feature & that I also had it on but I can’t seem to find it anymore. I run a news/blog page and I find it super annoying when the bots start promoting accounts in the comment section. I was thinking of enabling the option to manually approve tags but I will do that as last resort if comment tagging blocks aren’t a thing anymore

Engagement is engagement my friend. A comment is a comment even if it links to another account.
No one clicks on those spammy “check out my page!” links anyway.
If you’re still growing, even if you can disable it it’s more in your favor to keep it.
