To grow a small site’s traffic does it become essential after a certain point to buy good SEO backlinks and advertising ?
I have recently setup a meditation website and a meditation diary as a subdomain. Last week I got past 1000% traffic growth in 28 days without ads or farming out back linking etc. I don’t have an email list currently and don’t like hassling people with too many annoying pop ups . I am seriously thinking about doing a few with OptinMonster plugin. Feel like I am just coasting now and want to be going ape. I use wordpress.org and hosted by hostinger.

Where are you promoting your website?
The first thing I would encourage is-be on YouTube. Google ranks YouTube videos high in it’s SERP’s and it is great for generating website traffic. Things like Pinterest aren’t dead either. On some of my websites, 5% of my traffic is from Pinterest and I don’t even post on there regularly.
Also, how many articles are you writing a month? More keyword targeted content will generate more traffic.
