Tips for getting a blue check verification on Instagram?
I have been active on Instagram for a few years now and have 180k+ followers. I post daily to my grid and stories. I also have a large following on YouTube and Facebook. I have been trying, for over a year, to get them to issue my a blue check mark, but each request is either ignored or declined. I do have a business account and my bio is complete. Why is this verification so difficult?? Any suggestions??

I agree with everyone saying you need to be in a publication. I also heard once this happens, you need to contact them and let them know you need it, so someone doesn’t use your name and say something that could harm your brand.

Thanks for the tips. This seems like a ridiculous amount of busy work for little return. Do influencers actually do all of this? I follow many who have the check and I can’t find any articles on them. It’s not as if brands won’t work with the “check-less.” From a business perspective, this doesn’t seem to have a great ROI.
