I am not sure if I did the right thing with my TikTok account and need advice/help. Since around November of 2020 I was making some short story writing kind of content, but started to get bored of it two years later. For the past year I tried making different content, but it wasn’t getting much traction. Today I privated all my old stories and posted a new video about a fresh start. The video has 8 views and I have about 8000s followers. I am confused what is happening to my account and need help understanding what to do and how to plan my content out in the future. I don’t want to write short stories anymore and want to focus more on content for South Asian women! As of now my audience is predominately South Asian women. What can I do to regain and grow my audience? I fear I have been shadow banned for the past year.

If confident in your artistic content simply create abother account. Authors often switch pen names depending on genre etc

keep posting. Hard to draw conclusions with just 1 video after time off.

Keep posting and do experiment using different type of post. See which posts perform better. Use 3-5 targeted hashtags that relate to your niche, and don’t forget to use trending elements on TikTok (trending sounds, filters, and effects).
