TikTok Followers Decreasing
Hello, my name is Dan and this is my first post here. I wanna ask a question about this, so that I could get a clearer answer. I tried to email TikTok about this, but I haven’t gotten a response yet.
Alright, so I‘ve been on TikTok since April, but haven’t gotten much traction to my channel until last month. I was able to gain a following of over 35k. The night before, I noticed that my follower count was at 35,151, and then this morning, I woke up to having 20-25 more people follow me, but the count kept fluctuating between 35,155 to 35,156. At that point, I have noticed that the numbers wasn’t adding up right. I’m currently at 35,196, and I’m still noticing this problem. I’m trying to upload as much as possible to gain more, and build up my platform.
I remember an acquaintance of mine said that every time he would gain a subscriber, he would lose one. I’m not sure if this is a glitch or what, but I did a little bit of research. I came across a YouTube video saying it’s because TikTok is banning accounts that are inactive, under the age of 13, and accounts that don’t post any videos. Now I’m not sure if this is the exact reason, so I’m a little skeptical about it.
Has this ever happened to you or anyone that you know? If so, I would greatly appreciate it. I would also appreciate if there’s any solution or answer you guys can give me. As I said, I’m trying to grow my platform without losing much of anything.

Wow. Tiktok deleted accounts that dont post? That’s fucked.

I don’t have nearly the followers you have, but from April until mid-July I was growing by 25-40 (sometimes more) a day. Then it has stagnated then I’ll grow by a few. Then I’ll lose a few. Kinda interesting even though it sucks.

What I’ve noticed is that some of your followers are bots that will basically follow anyone and tiktok deletes those accounts
