Hi everyone. My company currently has a personal account on TikTok. We want to switch to a business/pro account, in order to get better analytics, however one thing I’m worried about is losing access to a lot of the trending sounds. We have a business account on Instagram, and it’s near-on impossible to find good, popular songs to add to our Reels. Has anyone with a business account on TikTok found this to be an issue, and if so, how do you get around it? Thanks!

Switching to a TikTok business account indeed comes with certain limitations when it comes to using copyrighted music. However, there are ways to work around this issue and still maintain an engaging presence on the platform. Here are a few suggestions:

    * Use royalty-free music: There are many sources of royalty-free music available, such as the YouTube Audio Library, SoundCloud, and Epidemic Sound. By using royalty-free music, you won’t face any copyright issues and can still create engaging content.
    * Collaborate with musicians or music creators: Reach out to musicians, especially local or independent artists, and ask if you can use their music in your TikTok videos. This way, you can support their work and potentially find unique tracks for your content.
    * Leverage TikTok’s built-in music library: TikTok has an extensive library of royalty-free music and sound effects for business accounts. Although it might not have the trending sounds, you can still find suitable tracks for your content.
    * Create original soundtracks: Consider creating your own soundtracks or jingles that represent your brand. This can be done in-house or by collaborating with a music producer.
    * Use voiceovers or narration: Instead of relying on popular music, consider adding voiceovers or narration to your videos. This can add a unique touch to your content and help convey your message more effectively.
    * Monitor trends and adapt: Keep an eye on TikTok trends and adapt them to your content without necessarily using copyrighted music. You can create content around popular challenges, dance routines, or other trends that don’t rely on specific songs.

While switching to a business account on TikTok may limit your access to certain popular songs, there are still plenty of ways to create engaging content by using alternative music sources or focusing on other aspects of your videos.
