I am a niche market of wallpaper installation but want to grow, particularly on IG. Don’t really want to pay a tonnnnn, plus from what others have said.. using someone doesn’t always work for them as I have reached out to other small businesses in my area. Any insight? Thank you!

The advice no one wants to hear is it takes patience and consistentcy. Check out the book “Show Your Work” by Austin Kleon.

You can use f2f and hashtag strategy for organic growth. It has worked for me and the most important factor is the content. Learn marketing strategies (content, moment, meme, promotional, ambush, guerilla, shockvertising, etc) and create content based on them.

It’s slow and requires a lot of patience but this method works for me.

No. And once you fall into the pay-to-play scheme, you are fucked.

I think one way you could go about this is working with young marketers who have proven that they can get traction on Instagram. Someone who can create quick reels with their phone, but is just starting out.

Agencies like mine can and do help get real traction for small businesses, but that comes at a cost that many small businesses simply aren’t willing to pay. A young, fresh out of or still in school marketer though – will often work for much less and be excited about the work in order to build their portfolio. And kids these days (wow I sound old) are pretty darn great at making quick videos.

Here in my city we have some digital marketing schools that are full of 19-23 year olds. Search for those in your area and shoot them a message and see if they have any students interested in growing their portfolio by making you some content at a discounted rate.

Happy to help, I run a nonprofit for creators & startup founders assisting with growth. Pay whatever you can at the moment to benefit other creators & founders with legal, financial & mental health resources and I’ll hop on a monthly call with ya to work through growth!

Google ; Dollar Eighty (its like a Google search for popular social posts)
I also believe another platform called “phantom buster” may help though I think that is a bot for Twitter

For a niche like wallpaper installation, consider collabing with interior design accounts or dropping some jaw-dropping before-and-after shots.

Have you tried reels? I’ve done some experiments and reels have been the best way to grow all my Instagram pages, try to show your service using some music and maybe you can solve some pain points of your clients on it and people will like, follow, and contact you. I have one Instagram of a real estate company and the pictures posted just reach my followers but when I post some reels it reaches 5 to 10 more people and they really like it, of course to make some reels is way harder than just normal picture but it worth it, I would test posting it more then trying some paid agency or service.
