  SOS: teammate changed something in Google Analytics, now it’s showing <100 organic visitors in a day, when Google Search Console is showing 4,000. What was changed?

  I work as an organic content specialist and frequently analyze our organic traffic and SEO metrics. We’ve added a lot of people to the team recently, and now GA numbers are showing a huge drop in traffic, ie less than 100 users a day. I panicked when I thought we were being penalized, but then I realized that GSC is showing over 4,000 users for the same day.

  I’m trying to figure out what was changed in GA so this doesn’t happen again.

  Just a wild guess, but did you change any GA tags recently?

  Check if the tracking code is working or not, you can check it by real time users or through the GTM
