Hi everyone, I am a medical professional who is hoping to start a social media channel focusing on education for general public. I plan to start by launching multiple 30 sec Instagram reels, YT shorts and TikTok videos. I was hoping I could get some advice on how to build a successful & growing social media channel? Any tips for someone just starting off?

I have a friend who is a hand/arm surgeon. He does things like this. It’s very educational. His videos longer than 30 seconds more like a minute as he wanted it to be detailed.

    My suggestions

Focus on a couple of channels only. Don’t try and do too many. Make sure you do regular videos (my friend doesn’t which doesn’t help his reach and as a said I personally think 30 secs isn’t long enough but hey I am not a doctor!

The best advice is to interact with any of your visitors. Make sure the # your post properly so the algorithm will bring it up to the right audience.
    You can Google hashtags…
Make sure you have a good bio for credibility.
    Hope that helps.

One thing that worked for me as a Tiktok Strategist for almost a year and grew 10k Followers to a hundreds in 6 months was to actually find a problem that a large of people are experiencing so since your a medical professional there are a lot of tips and content pillars that would generally be a subtopic on your content because if your goal was to have 10k followers you must need to find a common problem that 10k people have

Now lets proceed on how you structure your content on the accounts I’ve handled I used the WWH Strategy so the first one is WHY the first 3 seconds of your video must answer the reason why do they need to watch your video this implies to with a starting lines such as: are you struggling *common illnesses in your field then put the reason, solution and CTA

So there you go I hope these tips will help you to start your content creation journey if you want to learn more you can dm me or drop your @ so I can add more value to you ????????

I am fairly new to the world of Instagram and social media myself, but I have been doing some reading to get a hang of it. From what I understand, it seems like consistency is a big deal. So, planning your content ahead of time and maintaining a steady posting schedule could potentially help a lot.

I also read somewhere that there are services like Ascandviral which might help in growing your Instagram audience, but I am not too sure how it all works, so maybe do some research into different growth strategies and see what fits you best?

I’m sure since you’re a medical professional, you’d have lots of important information to share. Maybe you could start with basic health tips or myth-busting videos? I, for one, would be super interested in that! What kind of topics are you considering?

Posting on these platforms requires a lot of effort and patience, to grow, you’ll have to focus on things other than posting. First, choose the right time to post, maybe in the evenings or at night since people won’t be busy at that time. When you add hashtags, make sure they are banned, for example on Instagram, you can do that by searching for the hashtag you are about to use in the search bar, if there is a message saying that the recent posts are hidden, then it is banned. This way you’ll avoid getting your reach limited.

To gain more followers, you have to engage with other individuals, for example, comment on posts with a medical content and promote yourself indirectly. There are also some paid methods that can help you grow your socials like marketing agencies that provide an organic growth such as ascandviral on Instagram. I highly recommend this because Instagram has been a real struggle for most people, this will facilitate things for you. As for TikTok, it seems that people are getting a high engagement after only posting few videos, and some of them got lucky and went viral, so you’ll just have to post and use hashtags correctly.
