Hey man. I feel you. Not all SEO professionals are like that though. You need to focus on their background and quality of work done previously. I am also an SEO expert wherein I implement and teach those strategies to my clients so that are never in the dark and they know what I’m doing why I’m doing. If after 3 months of working with me, they arent happy I also provide additional month for free if every there is a question of quality(thanksfully that hasnt happened till now). Let me know if you want to connect and probably I can help you/guide you

For “SEO Optimized” content I’d probably say hire a copywriter/blog writer that has SEO experience over an SEO person. AI articles have their place but they definitely need to be properly cleaned and edited. And hand written content will always be better.

That said, going in page by page and looking at their work through the very little real world SEO experience you have is a good way to both piss off your provider and get nothing positive done.

We had clients like that when I worked for agencies. We ended up doing whatever they wanted to keep them happy, even at the detriment to their results.

If you’re hiring the person for a job, you’re going to have to trust them. I know it’s hard when you’re spending money. But SEO isn’t a quick solution it’s a 3-6 month long game. If not more.

And what May look like “bullshit descriptions” to you could be quality to Google.

If you want more instantaneous results, find a Google Ads agency or freelancer.

As someone who has been in SEO since 2015. it is really hard to find one who is REALLY deeply into SEO and understands it. Many people are calling themselves “SEO Experts” but the only thing they know now is to get a “green dot” in Yoast Plugin.

Personally, I can’t call myself an expert after all of these years. I can say I know something in this area, but it is far away from the expert level because I know how much I don’t know, and how much some guys know in this field. When they talk, I shut up and listen.

And many people call themselves “experts” after one Udemy course that is making this kind of mess on the market.

Also, there are problems with the clients; they want the BEST but not to pay that. They think we are just “typing something” on the keyboard, and something magical will happen in the SERP.

The second thing is clients are not ready for the fact SEO is a long-term process, not some quick, one-time thing (if we are talking about White Hat SEO). That way of thinking also causes this type of “experts” who will “do the job” quickly.

    1. Check the background of the agency and reviews online.
    2. Check the profile of the individual who will be working with you.
    3. Ask them questions about their work and see their portfolio.

I think these points are enough to know and invest in an agency.

Can you please DM your website to analyze it in terms of onpage and off page as well as technical seo and see what all these guys did wrong?

    > I understand how it’s done, but it’s crazy amount of work

Are you paying enough to get the crazy amount of work done?

I can’t disagree it’s an industry full of scams because everyone claims to be SEO expert after reading half an ebook online, but that’s only if you scrap the bottom of the bucket.

Although I’ll also say on the other hand, paying a lot doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get quality either… you get a good agency from referrals I suppose? Ask around you.

I completely understand you. I also worked as an SEO Specialist in the past for many companies, took courses, and am certified, but I don’t consider myself an SEO guru. For my website, which I launched two months ago, I am having some trouble ranking well on Google, so I have been looking for collaborators who could give me some advice. I even posted here on Reddit and it seems like everyone has been telling me that I just need to be patient. If you’re interested, we could exchange some ideas.
    Write to me.

Main question. On all these three folks, have you spent less than $1,000 a month?

Need more context: Do you have any experience with SEO. How did you qualify the agency. What kind of website do you have, what’s the DR, is it in the competitive niche.

Without all these information its an futile exercise.

Visit [Cynoteck.com](https://Cynoteck.com) and check their SEO results. If you find them good then hire an SEO expert from there.

    Mistakes most people make.

Hire an SEO expert ignore their advice. Undo their work.

    Ignore strategy.

Get no results and lose money.

    Fire them.

    The problem persists.

    Hire another one.

    Do the same.

    Get no results.

    Is this you?
