  • Small agencies and freelancers – how do you hire contractors?

Biz is going good and i have a couple clients asking for digital marketing services outside of the search engine marketing realm.

Will be looking for a contractor or 2 that specializes heavily in the required marketing channels. Right now I’m looking for an email marketer.

    2 things:

    * I have hired through Reddit before with great success. If you’re an email marketing wizard let me know. Please only reach out if you’re good (ha)
    * What are some other good ways to find experienced providers / contractors? Would be open to an agency, but i have a bias toward 1-man (or woman) gurus / smaller specialized providers… I’ve seen lots of buzz about Fiverr – good idea or nah? (ps i know that question gets asked almost every day on here so pardon the annoying question)

    Thanks

First of all want to know … what is your client’s niche markets because if you have client’s email list then no need email marketers and if you are planning for purchase emails then its not good ideas for all niche markets. So, let us know have you client list or want to create mailing list for your clients.

As digital marekting agency and 15+ years experience i will not recommend freelancer from Fiverr. For small tasks like profile link building they are good but for Good SEO or digital marketing services, i am sure you will just loose some money nothing more.

If you are looking for digital marketing service or SEO services offer then have to share website URL and targeted keywords (Or ask for keywords research also) and then after analyze website any good agency like us can offer you best price and time duration to show you result.

I was in a similar situation to you a few years ago. What changed it for me was seeing it from a different angle – whereby you can be an introducer to other people rather than trying to be a ‘master of all’. You are the SEO – if someone needs PPC – here’s your person. PR? Meet X. Social media? Let me link you up.

It’s up to you if you get a backhander from them – some I do – most I don’t – but what I’ve found is I’m their go-to when their clients ask the same thing so I get referrals – and it takes the headache away of having to project manage disciplines I don’t know enough about + trying to deliver on the SEO. It has been instrumental in scaling.

Just a nugget – but something to ponder perhaps
