Should the word blog be included for blogs in the URL?
Hi SEO expertss, should the blog word be used on blogs URLs? For eg. abc. com/blog/xyz or a abc .com/xyz is better URL for the blog that is also shorter URL than the previous one….

I think it should be used. The more information a search engine can obtain about your site the better.

I don’t think it has any SEO benefits, really. It makes your URL slightly longer and adds a directory level to it.
That said, use it if you think it makes your content look “cleaner.” Depending on what’s in your blog versus in static pages, it might be helpful for readers to know what they’re looking at.
In short, don’t stress the SEO aspect of it. Do what you prefer.

If there’s content on the page, no. I would use a keyword that is relevant to the content.

Use journal as the parent, if you plan on using a parent. Blog is a terrible word.

The blog subdirectory makes analysis so much easier in GSC/GA/whatever tool your using because you can segment those pages from your main site.

I think this is much important that to include a word blog for blogs in the URLs as this will increase your SEO ranking by you will get help to reach out to more visitors to your website
