Shopping Ads for Booze converting at .02%
Hello there. I’ve just started working with a client who owns a shopping campaign with a 0.02% conversion rate for online purchases. It was originally set up as a smart campaign. I created a new one manually so we could at least see the search terms and add negatives, but the conversions are still really fucking low. The website checkout process is very simple and easy to navigate from the ads, so I don’t think it’s a site problem. Anybody have issues with particular products on Shopping Ads? Any with liquor?

Any chance you are showing the ad to people who arrive at your site, only to leave when they find out you don’t ship to their location?

Only sales for booze is hard! We have a couple clients across search and Facebook and it’s not easy. It’s not something people buy online as much as other products I have found.
