Running two Search campaigns with same keywords

Posted by seohelper on August 26, 2021 at 4:16 pm

Hey all! Hoping to get your input on the following issue. I’m currently running a Search campaign for a client with keywords “Keywords 1″, Keywords 2”, etc. However, they just relayed that another team on their end/ in-house wants to run a Search campaign using our keywords “Keywords 1”, “Keywords 2”, etc. I’m wondering what I should keep in mind or how we can mitigate any issues (such as competing against each other, CPC inflation, etc.). I know that competing against ourselves wouldn’t be an issue if I was running the same keywords within the same account but since their in-house team will be running a separate Search campaign this wouldn’t be applicable. Would love your insight or anything that I should keep in mind! Thanks!

Not possible in the same ad account. Quality score will decide which keywords gets the traffic. You won’t be competing with yourself.

You will be competing against them. Whoever has a better QS and a higher bid will win the auction.
