Restaurant Campaign: Is there a way to measure walk-ins and app orders?

Posted by seohelper on April 8, 2021 at 1:15 pm

Hi guys, Im a little new to Facebook and Google ads so Im sorry if this is a silly question.

I was talking to a friend of mine who works for a couple of restaurants and bars and asked me if there was a way of measuring how many people are coming to dine and ordering through delivery apps because they saw the ads, and I really didnt knew what to say.

Is there a way to track this things?

Thanks a lot for your answer, really appreciate it!

Give them a code they can redeem when they get to the restaurant. 5% off or whatever.

Online to offline attribution is a little tricky but there a few ways to do it in an ad hoc manner.

Link their Google My Business to their ads account, then in the conversion tab of Google ads there will list the direction requests of people who have clicked (and maybe viewed?) their ads which who then later went and requested directions.

There is also the option for accounts with high ad spend to request a device from Google to place in their store that will track when a user who has interacted with their ad then enters their location and attribute it as a conversion. The spend requirements for this is extremely high for this use case though.

Look into offline conversions. Basically you upload your CRM and Google matches sales from people to their exposure to your ads (don’t have handson experience because GDPR makes it quite tough and tracking this it’s not a high priority for most of our clients)
