  Recently images, js and css files got de indexed from our company’s website

  Do google automatically de index images and css files from our websites? Shouldn’t I be alarmed; my senior believes images and css files aren’t important to be indexed and hence this situation can be ignored. (The reason i am worried is because there is 200+ links of images css files that got de-indexed)

  I assume simply requesting re-index on GSC might help the situation.
