Receiving notifications of page mentions within a private group
**Tl;dr: There’s no way to see notifications of page mentions in posts/comments in a private group, right?**
Part of my job is running a Facebook page which is itself a member of several (private) groups. People sometimes try to draw our attention to specific threads in those groups by mentioning us, but the only notifications we receive from mentions in tags or comments are on posts with visibility set to ‘public.’
The people who tag us seem to be under the impression that when they mention our page in a comment, it creates the kind of instant and prominent notification that’s generated when someone mentions their personal account in a post or replies to a comment they made.
But as far as I’m aware, they’re mistaken, and there’s no way for us to receive or view notifications of the page being mentioned in posts within private groups.
Is this right, or am I completely unaware of some way to do this? Obviously, it affects our brand perception if people get the impression that we’re ignoring them.
Can’t find anything helpful out there on this topic, so thanks in advance for any advice.
