GuestAugust 25, 2023 at 11:43 amI would say pmax so it can put focus from all channels to one product and pmax uses all channels as shopping plus some extra ones.
Edit
Maybe use shopping to get some conversion data first then switch ti pmax in a long run

GuestAugust 25, 2023 at 12:35 pmFull control is always better. There is no question. Having a PMAX campaign undermine retargeting, remarketing, display and smart campaigns while doing very little to generate new customers is not “better” by any stretch of the imagination. If you want to grow and scale, you need to be turning cold audiences into warm audiences.. not have a dominate campaign that just goes after warm audiences while diluting ROAS by showing your ads too broadly.

GuestAugust 25, 2023 at 12:39 pmBecause you have a low budget and a new account, I would suggest Standard Shopping for now since it gives you more control whilst Pmax is a black box. Plus, Standard Shopping gives you unrestricted insight into your search terms and lets you use negative keywords with ease. Bit more restricted in that regard when it comes to Pmax. Not to mention Pmax targets multiple channels both upper and lower funnel. So stick to Shopping only for now.

GuestAugust 25, 2023 at 11:31 pmThis is something that you might get 10 different opinions on. I think fundamentally you should pick one campaign type to test first and if you can’t get it to work then test the other.
Personally I start with Pmax, if that doesn’t work I try feed-only Pmax, and if that doesn’t work I try shopping.
Some people may suggest switching the order, but essentially you just need to keep trying until you find something that works for you.
