  Please help – issue with tagging individuals on FB

  Hi all! I help manage a nonprofit animal rescue’s page on Facebook (it is set up as a business account).

  I know business pages can’t tag individual people (only other “businesses”) in their posts, so we end up tagging people in the comments.

  I’ve noticed that I’m only able to tag a handful of people. When I go to tag others, their profiles come up, it let’s me actually “tag” them but when the comment publishes it just lists their static name.

  This sounds like it might be a privacy setting on their personal accounts, but no one can find where to configure or update.

  Have you encountered this before? How can I solve for that? We have a lot of great people want to recognize and tag, but unfortunately can’t.

  (Also, I am friends with a number of the people I try to tag, so it isn’t that we aren’t connected on Facebook.)
