    PerformanceMax and ValueTrack parameters

Posted by benilla on April 18, 2023 at 3:42 pm

We can track how each asset performs via a subid within a PerformanceMax campaign. However, if we have multiple assets inside an asset group, Google doesn’t tell us how much each asset spent, which makes calculating ROI impossible.

I’m wondering if there’s a way to maybe pass through cost in the URL?

I know I could setup 1 PMax campaign with 1 asset group and use the campaign’s stats but I’m trying to avoid setting up 100’s of PMax campaigns just to test creative.

    Any idea folks?

My honest to Baal Hammon advice ~ work on developing marketing strategies that use less data to do the same amount of work. Google is going to do eveything they can to “META-ize” there data to be extremely “behind the curtain” due to a healthy mix of EU regulation & greed. They’re not paying extra backend cost for a US special ad platform UI. It’s their world, were just marketing in it.

Build up quality asset groups and measure holistically. Have at least one good higher.
