Performance max – bid to higher position in large stack

Posted by Shmoogy on January 26, 2023 at 7:54 pm

Is there any way to, in a performance max campaign, try to force a higher position within a stack of 10 competitors ?

I’ve isolated a stack of 150 products – have a 1k budget on the campaign, have it set to max conversions (tried max conversion value too) with no roas / tcpa goal – and on almost every listing the products are position 5 or lower.

I’m looking to try to get a high chance of being position 1-4 – and google just won’t spend the money.

Ignoring profitability – is there a way to force google to be more aggressive in these campaigns ?

If PMax is using a shopping feed, look at ways you can optimize your shopping feed. The issue might not be your campaign.
